The New York Times published an Op-ed. Leymah Gbowee had a dream one night in 2003. In the dream a voice urged her to organize the women in her church to pray for peace. pray for peace

She organized women in her church to pray, then reached out to other Christian churches and the Muslim faith. To them, peace meant a world without maiming, killing and rape-they wanted to protect their children. A call to demonstrate was broadcast over a Catholic radio station, which prompted thousands of women to participate. The unrelenting demonstrations for peace gained public support. Eventually the president who was embarrassed by the protests and the rebel leaders listened to the women's grievances and negotiated thus establishing a tentative peace.
Lessons
- People and Media can be instrumental in helping Peace by 2014 gain public support
- Ideas can gain traction among people with a shared desire for peace safety, even across seemingly intractable lines like religious differences
- Embarrassment and public pressure can drive even a tyrannical government to act differently
- Even a tyrannical leader would be open towards peace under the right circumstances provided by ordinary people

I am really surprised to watch that when ''HE'' will come back, those JEWS & CHRISTIAN who do not follow him will ''suffer''. Is it in the roots of these fundamentalist that they like to enforce there ideology on others?? But why only against people of BOOK, whom QURAN likes very much?? WHY not this IMAM will fight against others like Hindus, Buddhists, Pagan etc.?? Barelvi & Shia fanatics have used the same strategy against Dr. Zakir Naik who is PEACE promoter that if he doesn't follow their ideology, God forbid, He will be PERSECUTED??? How Barelvi & Shia ''Students/Talibans'' or Fanatics will unite??? They do not even like ''Peace TV'' or a Scholar, Dr. Zakir Naik, who advocates Peace on TV. Maybe they do not like this call to be UNITED in UK and elsewhere and then write a FATWA, a religious decree, against this media??? They have ''authority'' to write FATWA against anyone, whom they don't like and then PERSECUTE HIM/HER/THEM??? I am afraid who gave them this authority and how they became ''above the law'' and now are trying to imitate the role of GOD???
