If you have created any art that relates to the theme of addressing and
raising awareness about poverty, hunger, and homelessness then we’d
love to display it as part of our event. Email us with submissions and
please include the medium of the piece (photography, painting, film,
music, written or spoken poetry, etc.), how it relates to the theme,
the length or size required for display, and an attachment with a photo
of the piece. Submissions will be considered on a first come basis.
Details of the event are below.
It’s time to confront the truth. Poverty is a reality, but it can
be helped. Join the Volunteer Resource Center as we address and raise
awareness about poverty, hunger, and homelessness through many mediums
of art. Come listen to live music, enjoy refreshments, hang out with
sarah, and shop for your holiday gifts. As you learn about the issue of
poverty through viewing art on display by local artists, take the
opportunity to be a part of the solution. Make a difference this
holiday season by purchasing your gifts from local and global
organizations who work to end the cycle of inequity. All gifts are fair
trade, beautifully hand-crafted and one of a kind.
