Creating a new and innovative website to handle peace in five years and give you all the tools and the power you need to to create world peace is not an easy task, especially with a tight deadline.
But since P:5Y is about commitment to a specific deadline, who are we to complain?
We look forward to the time when we'll be looking back at this original sticky posting and recognizing how much we did build and how far we progressed from our humble beginnings.
But now is not the time to look back. We have a peace deadline before us of five years, and we'd like to acquaint you with the website. (We will be adding to this description as the site develops.)
The main menu at the top under the countdown timer is the primary way to get around the site. Some of the menu items—such as ABOUT P:5Y—have no submenus. Some of the other menus—such as ISSUES—have submenus that appear when you hover your mouse pointer over the menu. When a menu item is selected, it turns orange. To navigate, click on the selected item.
Some pages—such as FAQ—have a tbale of contents at the top, and you can navigate to the listed items by clicking on them.
There is also a menu at the bottom of each page allowing navigation to our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Contact Form.
In the upper right corner, there are three phrase links you can click.
You can also navigate by searching for content on the site, under the phrase links.
When you become a registered user of the site and log in, a My P:5Y menu will appear under the search box with the following options:
This site's Wiki is intended to create collaborative and growing repository of knowledge about ending war and attaining peace.
This site's Forum is a place to hold discusiions about various aspects of P:5Y.
You can create and join Peace Teams for P:5Y groups with specific interests and tasks. You can also create and join Peace Projects that can have specific goals and locations.
Peace Teams and Projects can be private, open, moderated, invite only, or closed. Team and Project members can create team postings and team Wiki pages. This information can also be made public or kept private depending on the Team or Project policy.
