I have a question regarding the organization that I can't find answered very well on the site.
What is P5Y going to do to facilitate people's actions toward peace. So far, I think this is a great concept, but I'm having a hard time understanding just what people will be doing by joining this organization. Will you be organizing people within their communities, states, countries, etc? How are you planning on leveraging us as a group in a way that we cannot do as individuals? Thanks

I also need more information about exactly what has been and is being done. My first specific question is who is drawing up the Global Peace Initiative? My second is, how much has been accomplished?

it's the 27th of Nov as i type this - -a month since JH made her initial statement...query...
the fact is: the forces of warmongery, tyranny and the sort of spineless obeisance and allegiance that allows warmongers and tyrants to continue are VERY INFLUENTIAL in the world -- and forces and individuals for peace are usually oppressed by those aforementioned forces -- with lies and institutionalized racism/gender disparity/ageism and all the others we know...
is this me making excuses for a lack of action -- so seeming -- among even the most audacious peace activists? No...it may seem that way. What I am doing is pointing out --
that the ENEMIES OF PEACE EXIST! They are real. They dominate headlines and theaters of militarist operation each day.
There is no other worthy quest, so on I go...

Hi ultraayla. You've brought up some very good questions that we don't yet have the answers to.
Amber and Nathan writing their book Give Peace a Deadline: What Ordinary People Can Do To Cause World Peace in Five Years and launching this website are our humble beginnings at creating an organization that will hopefully foment the collaborating of individuals working together to create world peace.
We'll keep everyone up to date as more details emerge. And we hope that everyone interested in world peace will make use of this website, even in its beginning stages, to organically collaborate and grow your own connections and actions and movements towards peace.
